The Minister of Industry said: they will
work to empower the private sectors, maximize added value and localize jobs
The Ministry of
Industry and
Mineral
Resources Bandar Alkhorayef took the initiative at the start of January
this year to carry out its duties formally under the leadership of Minister
Bandar Al-Khareef, in implementation of the Royal Decree, issued last August to
establish an independent ministry to transfer competences, tasks, and
responsibilities related to the sectors of industry and mineral wealth.
The Minister of Industry and
Mineral Resources speaks an adorable and thankful word to the custodian of the
Two Holy Mosques of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and
Minister of Defense Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for the high
confidence, stressing work to advance the sectors of industry and mineral
wealth and contribute to achieving sustainable development in line with the vision of the Kingdom 2030, which adopted manufacturing and mining as two
strategic options for diversifying the national economy.
He also thanked the Minister of
Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, the Ministry's work team, and all the
ministers, ministries, and relevant parties for the support they provided
during the period of the establishment of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral
Resources in preparation for its launch.
Al-Khorayef pointed out that
the Ministry will continue to implement the initiatives of the National
Industry and Logistics Services Development Program "Nadlab" to turn
the Kingdom into a leading industrial and mining power and a global platform
for logistics services, support promising sectors and enable the private sector
to play its role in industrial and mining development, as well as address the
challenges facing investors in the industrial side, in addition to maximizing
the added value of mineral resources throughout the Kingdom.
He said: We will go forward in
enhancing cooperation and integration between the industrial system and mineral
wealth, to attract more local and foreign investments, as well as transfer
industrial and mining knowledge to the Kingdom, and employ the techniques of
the fourth industrial revolution to raise the competitiveness of Saudi
products, in addition to cooperating with all relevant authorities to qualify
National cadres and raising settlement rates in the industrial and mineral
wealth sectors.
The Minister of Industry and
Mineral Resources pointed out the importance of supporting export operations to
open up to global markets so that Saudi products become an essential figure in
the international economy.
